As a prelude to Blood Donation
Camp, Awareness Rally was organized by Arvind Gupta DAV Centenary Public School
in association with Rotary Club Delhi Metro, in which around 200 students
participated along with the Rotarians to generate awareness on blood donation.
This was an attempt to create mass awareness on blood donation and to clear all
misconceptions associated about it. There are so many people who still feel
scared to donate blood. The rally is an attempt to increase awareness in the
community on safe and sustainable blood donation.

Park Model Town at 9:00 am and came to an end by 10 a.m. covering most of the
Model Town area. A total of 200 students exhibiting banners, placards and
poster augmenting Voluntary Blood Donation, participated in the Rally and made
the event a grand success. The streets of Model Town witnessed a massive rally
and were echoing with the mesmerizing voice of our young citizen, who tried to
motivate the local residents to be a part of the noble cause i.e. the Blood
Donation Camp on 9 November 2014 by shouting slogans like "Raktdaan Jeevandaan", "Donate Blood Save Life" etc.
Handouts covering social & technical details on
blood donation were distributed. The students also approached residential colonies, housing societies and
apartments to apprise people about the importance of blood donation and
encourage them to join the cause.
Welcoming the august gathering, School
Chairman Dr. S.R Arora shared his views and said that everyone should donate
blood as it replicates human values and social responsibility towards our
society. "Blood can't be manufactured as other things can, it can only be
given to save the lives" stressed Madam Principal.

DAVCMC applauded the management skills of students and faculty for organizing
this Blood Donation Rally in a well planned manner. He also lauded the
motivation of students for their highly enthusiastic contribution and making it
a success.
Mr. Nirbhay Narula, President Rotary Club, Mr. Ratan Santhalia President
Delhi Metro, Mr. D N Dalmia, President RWA Model Town apprised the gathering
with their motivational speech and said donating blood is a life saving
attempt. "You don't lose anything if you donate blood as human body has a
regenerating mechanism".
