Tittle : World Heritage Day 2015

World heritage is the shared heritage of mankind. Protecting and preserving these valuable assets demands the collective efforts of government and community. Keeping this objective in mind the students of Arvind Gupta DAV Centenary Public School, Northex, Model Town-III observed World Heritage Day which commenced from 18th April till 22nd April, 2015. A plethora of activities were organized to link the future citizens of India with our rich cultural monumental site. Assembly talks were organized from 18th to 22nd April, 2015. Children also recited self composed poems highlighting the usefulness of cultural heritage. Classes VIII, IX and X were given information on monuments and sites by uploading the information related to baolis, monument, roads, havellies, mosque, darghah and gardens on smart board. Quiz was organized on 22nd April, 2015 for the students of classes VIII to X. On the same day a heritage walk was organized by the students of V Class in which they spread awareness for conserving our rich heritage. The students were encouraged to visit monuments and took pledge to conserve their rich cultural heritage. The event gave an opportunity to both teachers and students to increase the horizons of their knowledge in an impressive manner.
