Tittle : Video Conferencing with the students of DAV Khera Khurd
Technology plays a crucial role
in the transformation of society. Communities are integrating the tools of
these technologies in their own development processes. The education sector ?
one of the cornerstones of society?s development ? uses these tools to enhance
the process of teaching/learning. Video conferencing is one of the best technologies
that connects the students of a school to the other, brings far away experts on
camera for an interaction on a specific topic.
Keeping this in view, a Video Conferencing was conducted on the topic ?MAPPING INDIA ?and ?Water? for class V students
with the students of DAV Khera khurd. It was an
interactive and enriching session. Students were given the chance to answers
the questions asked by the students/ teachers of other school as well as to ask
questions related to the topic. For better understanding of the concept
explanation was given by the teachers of both the schools then and there only.
Students participated enthusiastically. The objective of the conference was to share
the information, to boost up the confidence and to improve the communication skills.
Overall it was an informative session for the students. These sessions should be
conducted regularly as it seems that video conferencing enhances mutual
understanding and develops specific skills in the students as well as the
teachers.
