From philosophers to entrepreneurs, modern day poets to historical writers, trees have long been a subject of interest and a topic of discussion. Trees are the best natural defense system against air pollution. They keep us safe from the effects of poor air quality and we can breathe fresh air.  They release oxygen in the day and offset its shortage in the air due to release of various harmful gases from vehicles and factories. As a result the air we inhale do have many harmful gases but the amount of oxygen remains higher in it.  This is only possible if we have huge number of trees on roadsides, open areas, in our residential and commercial areas as well.  To promote this awesome cause we need to motivate people to keep planting trees.
The Interact club of Arvind Gupta Public School, Model Town ,Delhi  organized a programme for tree plantation inaugurated by  Rotary Club of Delhi Metro in  the school .The Tree Plantation programme began with students gathering in the ground. In the spirit of the day, they had brought small little saplings to be planted in school ground. The gardener helped them plant their trees. . All the students were very enthusiastic and thoroughly enjoyed the planting process, even though they all got wet and muddy ? they loved it. We had amongst us the esteemed team of rotrarians from Rotary club of Delhi Metro ,President Rtn Dr Saroj Khanna ,Past President Rtn Amarjot Sethi,Rtn Narinder Chugh,Rtn Ashok Jain , Principal ma'am Ms Mala Sood,Interact club incharge Ms Sonia Jhingran  and Ms Aruna Behl, who added to the feel of the event, they also took part in the event and planted trees. Tree planting event connected the students to the benefits of trees and fostered environmental sensitivity in them.It also brought them closer to the environment.Around 500 students participated in the plantation , planting tree sapling and sprouted a new green drive..This gave a germination of young environmentalists and ensured that our future is in responsible hands
