The eight day long Self Defense & Awareness training programme organized by the Delhi Police karate/ Self Defense Academy came to a successful end with the valedictory function on 3 August 2013 at Arvind Gupta DAV Centenary Public School. Sh. Deepak Mishra, Special Commissioner of Police, Sh. S.K Sharma, Director Publication DAV CMC, Sh S. Ghana Sambandhan, D.C.P North ? West District, Mrs. Shweta Chauhan, A.C.P, Model Town, Sh. Manoj Sinha, S.H.O Model Town and Sh. Nanak Chand, manager of the school graced the occasion. The Principal, Ms Mala Sood welcomed the guests and expressed her sincere gratitude to the dignitaries for their support and guidance. Sh. S.K Sharma, in his address applauded the active participation of the students in varied fields. He also inspired the students to feel proud to be a unit of great DAV Chain. The students entertained the august gathering with their melodious welcome song. ?Chhau Mayurbhanj Dance? left everyone spells bound. The Delhi Police Karate team and the girl trainees showcased their Karate Skills through a lively demonstration striking a balance between physical and mental strength. In the wake of crimes against woman, the steps of the Delhi Police to train the girls, children and teachers with Karate techniques are highly commendable.
